Cozumel, Mexico is known for excellent scuba diving and home to what I consider the best diving (thus far) but a tour around the island is also a must.

We were PADI certified here several years ago and we were very impressed with the dive instructors and the accommodations. If you are a diver this place is the ticket! No need to get in a car soaking wet to drive back to your hotel after your dive, instead just walk right up the stairs for a quick shower in your room and a quick walk to the affordable restaurant which has a great guacamole dip that definitely hits the spot after a full morning of dives! As mentioned in my scuba diving post Palancar Gardens is an excellent dive!

We also rented a moped and toured the island along with a stop at Coconuts Bar and Grill for fantastic views of the ocean. Note: If you have children with you be sure to look at their website before visiting.
