Austin, Texas was listed as the fastest growing city in America (2015) and this city has earned its reputation for its hip, liberal, and funky vibe.  Check out Rainy Street to witness hundred year old homes that have been converted into bars. Austin is also known for its food trucks, therefore grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many food trucks throughout Austin is essential to “living like a local”.  Our favorite activity was touring the city on electric bike food tour (while witnessing the emergence of bats from the Congress Avenue Bridge). We also enjoyed running the trails around the lake and the energy of 6th Street (check out the Pete’s dueling piano bar).

The city has a lot to offer including their famous music festivals (ACL), food venues, outdoor activities, and the friendliness of its patrons.  It’s a beautiful city and it’s easy to see why so many people are relocating to become part of this vibrant, growing city.
